Cabela’s Deluxe Truck Tent
Cabela’s XPG Expedition 4-Season Tent
It’s hard to find an all-season tent that is able to accommodate a family or even a couple friends, and that’s why we’re offering our XPG™ Expedition 4-Season Tents in two-, four- and six-person models. Reinforced continuous pole sleeves rigidly hold a DAC 7001 T6 aluminum four-pole frame so these tents can stand up to heavy snowfall, violent wind, pounding rain and sleet. The tent bodies are constructed of rugged, 70-denier 190T taffeta nylon for seasons of service in the most demanding terrain and weather. We constructed the rain flies of polyester because it has superior UV resistance, and then treated them with a 1,500mm waterproof-rated coating to lock out the elements. The two doors on the flies have accompanying vestibules and dual two-way zips with snagproof cording for easy ventilation. Clear windows give you good visibility, and shrouded mesh vents allow air to move through the flies while keeping out moisture. Inside each tent, you’ll find an organizer panel to keep your equipment and personal items off the ground. Highly visible reflective guy lines prevent trip-ups in low light. Tub-shaped floors afford maximum protection from the elements. Heavy-duty extruded-aluminum stakes are included. Heavy-duty YKK® zippers with snagproof zip cording are used throughout. Three sizes to choose from. Imported.
Eureka! Apex 2XT – Tent (sleeps 2)
This versatile fiberglass two-pole dome tent is ideal for less demanding adventures, with a unique fly design that offers protected wet weather performance or can be rotated 180 degrees for easier tent access in fair conditions. The full-coverage fly features two roomy vestibules that provide weatherproof storage and dry tent entry. The tent’s free standing and shock-corded fiberglass frame with post and grommet assembly is lightweight and easy to set up while two side-opening, twin-track doors, consisting of one no-see-um mesh panel and one fabric panel, allow flexibility for venting and insect protection. Other features include zipper covers on the fly, interior corner pockets, a gear loft for overhead storage, and a bathtub floor that wraps up the sides of the tent to protect it against splashing and standing water.
Eureka! Tetragon 5 – Tent (sleeps 2)
This recreational tent is a great value, stable, easy to pitch and it comes in a series of multiple sizes to fit any adventure!
Although the exact year is unknown, Eureka’s long history begins prior to 1895 in Binghamton, NY, where the company still resides today. Then known as the Eureka Tent & Awning Company, its first wares were canvas products–most notably, Conestoga wagon covers and horse blankets for 19th-century American frontiersmen–as well as American flags, store awnings, and camping tents.
The company increased production of its custom canvas products locally throughout the 1930s and early 1940s. The company even fabricated and erected a series of IBM “tent cities” just outside Binghamton, housing thousands of IBM salesmen during the company’s annual stockholders meeting, which had outgrown its previous locale. With the advent of World War II and the increased demand for hospital ward tents, Eureka expanded operations and began shipping tents worldwide. Ultimately, upon the post-war return of the GIs and the resultant housing shortage, Eureka turned its attention to the home front during the 1950s by supplying awnings for the multitude of mobile homes that were purchased.
In 1960, renowned explorer Sir Edmund Hillary used Eureka’s new and innovative Draw-Tite tent–with its practical, freestanding external frame–in a Himalayan expedition to Nepal (Hillary had climbed to the summit of Mt. Everest only six years earlier). In 1963, Eureka made history during its own Mt. Everest ascent, with more than 60 of its tents sheltering participants during the first all-American Mt. Everest Expedition, where explorers braved fierce 60-plus mph winds and temperatures reached below -20F.
Eureka introduced its legendary Timberline tent in the 1970s, targeting it to backpackers and families. The first to employ the StormShield design, the lightweight, self-supporting backpacking tent became one of the most popular tents in the industry, with sales reaching over 1 million by its 10-year anniversary. Eureka tents have also traveled as companions on other historic expeditions, including the American Women’s Himalayan Expedition to Annapurna I in 1978 and the first Mt. Everest ascents by a Canadian and American woman in 1986 and 1988. In recent years, Eureka designed and donated tents to Eric Simonson and his team. The group took two historic research expeditions to Mt. Everest, this time in a quest for truth regarding the 1924 attempted summit of early English explorers George Mallory and Andrew Irvine. During the 1999 expedition, the team made history by finding the remains of George Mallory, but the overall mystery remained unsolved. Returning in 2001 to search for more clues, the team found several historical artifacts that are now on display at the Smithsonian.
Eureka! Solitaire – Tent (sleeps 1)
Perfect for singular trekking and walkabouts, the Eureka Solitaire is lightest, most compact three-season solo tent made by Eureka. It’s also extremely well ventilated with a large mesh roof–great for stargazing during summer trips–and the zippered roof provides an extra exit in nice weather. This two-hoop bivy design offers an efficient tunnel design, with a durable 6.3 mm fiberglass frame is shockcorded for fast set up. The full coverage fly is attached, so it can be rolled back or put in place very quickly. Other features include nylon pole sleeves for easy setup, three storm guyouts on the fly, two storage pockets, and one flashlight loop.
Eureka! Apex 3XT – Tent (sleeps 3)
Lightweight and compact, the multipurpose Eureka Apex 3XT FG three-person tent is ideal for backpackers who want to travel light. Campers will also appreciate the pair of side-opening D-style doors, which are made entirely of no-see-um mesh. Not only do the doors add airflow to the tent–especially in conjunction with the pair of windows and side roof vents–but they also allow campers to enter and exit the tent without stumbling over their tentmates. Finally, the tent includes two full-coverage vestibules (one over each door), offering extra protection from the elements and additional gear storage. Other features include two mesh storage pockets, four clothes line loops, a flashlight loop, factory-sealed floor seams, a full-cut fly, and a pole pocket in the tent bag for hassle-free storage. All Eureka tents carry a lifetime warranty.
Eureka! Sunrise 8 – Tent (sleeps 4)
Spacious enough to comfortably sleep four campers, the Eureka Sunrise 8 dome-style tent is easy to set up and very well ventilated with four large hooded windows and no-see-um mesh panels in the ceiling. It has triple-coated fabrics and a heavy-duty bathtub floor made of 4 ounce 210D oxford polyester that repels water.
The fly is made of Stormshield polyester, which won’t stretch when wet and resists UV breakdown. It has a shockcorded fiberglass frame (two poles) that features a pin and ring as well as combination clip and sleeve system for quick assembly. Other features include:
Eureka! Spitfire – Tent (sleeps 1)
The solo Eureka SpitFire tent has more headroom than most tents in its class, making it very easy and comfortable to sit up in. It’s also extremely well ventilated with large mesh panels–great for stargazing during summer trips. It has a large side door that makes it easy to get in and out of the tent. The bathtub floor keeps seams taut and high off the ground for superior protection.
The full coverage fly features a poke-out vent that’s closable and accessible from inside the tent. Side release buckles attach the fly to body for fast easy set up. Only two stakes are required to secure the tent’s body, and post and grommet corner attachments make set up easy. Other features include:
